We've recently welcomed The Cornish Sourdough Bakery to the Hubs!
They now have a range of loaves available to order, including wholemeal and traditional white sourdoughs, a West Country loaf and a Bordelaise all freshly baked in Callington.
We started baking from our little Cornish cottage, selling mostly at local markets. In 2015 we took the plunge and set up Little Bakehouse at Launceston, where we have a little bakery and shop with a kitchen and cafe. Our food showcases what we bake. It is small, intimate and has a lovely friendly ambiance. Since starting with just myself (Suzanne) baking, we now have a small team with Zelah as my baker and cake queen. Phil does a lot of mixes and shares the baking, he also manages the shop and most of all, is the king of coffee. In 2020 we decided to expand more into wholesale and our new bakery opened in March. The bakers moved to Callington and we are busy producing bread for wholesale and home delivery, which is so important in these unprecedented times, where any home delivery of food produce is very important to many of us. Our ethos is real bread without any additives, preservatives or flour improvers. We love what we do and we hope you do to.
